ROBERT HUR TESTIFIES BEFORE CONGRESS: How Was President Biden Not Charged F

On Tuesday, Special Counsel Robert Our testified before Congress regarding President Biden’s and his book ghostwriter’s mishandling of classified materials and Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz was stunned how no charges were brought up against them.

In February, Robert Hur released his report on the Biden investigation and claiming yes Biden did willfully keep classified materials throughout a number of properties but decided not to pursue charges noting it would be highly unlikely to see a conviction.  During the hearing, Rep. Gaetz believed that at the very least, the President’s ghostwriter should have been charged for trying to get rid of evidence of classified materials which were later recovered by law enforcement.

“Just so everybody knows, the ghostwriter didn’t just delete the recordings as a matter of happenstance,” Rep. Matt Gaetz said. “Ghostwriter has recordings of Biden making admissions of crimes, he then learns that you’ve been appointed, he then deletes the information that is the evidence, and you don’t charge him.”

Just as Our began to answer the question, Gaetz interrupted saying, “Like, what does somebody have to do to get charged with obstruction of justice by you? If deleting the evidence of crimes doesn’t count, what would meet the standard?” Hur responded that the ghostwriter didn’t delete all the evidence and transcripts.

“Oh, so if you destroy some evidence but not other evidence, that somehow absolves you of the evidence you destroy?” Gaetz quipped.

“Biden and Trump should have been treated equally,” Gaetz said. “They weren’t. And that is the double standard I think a lot of Americans are concerned about.”
