San Francisco 49ers QB Trey Lance is out for the year after undergoing season ending surgery on his broken ankle after yesterday’s game. The Niners were led to victory by backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo who wasn’t even supposed to be on the roster. Considering these developments, Doug is convinced Lance won’t start another game for the Niners unless he can fight and win the job back in camp next year, or somebody else gets injured.

Doug Gottlieb: “That’s the last you’ll see of Trey Lance being the starting quarterback of the Niners without some sort of fight next year in training camp, or another injury to somebody else.
