Three young sisters were tragically found dead in Chelan County, Washington, on Monday (June 2). The girls, identified as 9-year-old Paityn Decker, 8-year-old Evelyn Decker, and 5-year-old Olivia Decker, were discovered near the Rock Island Campground. Their father, 32-year-old Travis Decker, is wanted in connection with their deaths and faces charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping.
According to the Wenatchee Police Department, the sisters were last seen on Friday (May 30) when they left for a planned visitation with their father, which was part of a parenting plan. However, police noted that Decker went outside the parameters of the plan, raising concerns. An Endangered Missing Person Alert was issued by the Washington State Patrol, but the case did not meet the criteria for an AMBER Alert.
Authorities believe Decker was homeless and living out of a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck, which was found near the location where the girls' bodies were discovered. Decker is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with black hair in a ponytail and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light shirt and dark shorts.
Police have warned that Decker, a veteran with extensive training, may pose a significant risk if approached. Anyone who sees him is urged to call 911 immediately.
