There is so much natural wonder to witness in America that will inspire awe in even the most cynical explorer. The country is full of breathtaking state and national parks that give adventurers, amateur enthusiasts and experienced hikers alike, a stunning snapshot of America's natural beauty.

LoveExploring compiled a list of the "best national park" in every state, from "big-hitting" destinations that draw in millions of visitors each year to those featuring a "lesser-known monument or historic site." According to the site, the top choice for Washington is Olympic National Park, a beautiful region full of lush forests, towering peaks and rocky coastline.

Here's what the site had to say about this gorgeous spot:

"The Pacific Northwest is known for its incredible wilderness with colossal peaks and aquamarine lakes. Olympic National Park has all of that, as well as a rugged stretch of coastline and its very own rainforest. Hoh Rainforest has a campsite where you can usually revel in this moss-covered wonder-world, however, the area is currently closed while a road is repaired. For the initiated, alpine climbing is a popular pastime here too."
