Popular restaurants and chains are loved by many for a reason, serving up delicious meals and interesting culinary creations sure to please. However, some restaurants have such a dedicated following that they have achieved legend status, local hotspots that have become cult favorites and community staples, offering guests a unique atmosphere, colorful decor or interesting dishes that they might not find anywhere else.

According to a list compiled by LoveFood, the "best cult-favorite restaurant" in all of Washington is Twede's Cafe in North Bend. This popular spot serves up a damn fine cup of coffee and cherry pie (as well as many other diner classics), so much so that it was immortalized in the beloved TV series Twin Peaks.

Twede's Cafe, which has a 4.4 star rating on Google and more than 2,800 reviews, is located at 137 W. North Bend Way.

Here's what the site had to say about this "iconic" restaurant:

"Charming customers with its picturesque setting and quintessential diner feel since the 1940s, Twede's Cafe was chosen as the film set for the iconic Double R Diner in Twin Peaks. Naturally, this cemented it as a Pacific Northwest icon and fan pilgrimage spot, but even those who've never seen the show love the enduring appeal of the place. A cool interior, a great story, classic bar-stool tables, perfect cherry pie – what more do you need?"
